Babyhawk and a newborn

Babyhawk claims it can be used with a newborn. I have tried using it with my baby (I tried when she was about 10 days old). I found there was no head support for her. The space between her head and the carrier was a huge gap. I had to still hold her head when I was walking around.
Is there anyway to make this fit better? Or do I just have to wait until she is bigger and has better head control?

I have a moby but haven't quite figured out how to get her in it right and find the Babyhawk so much easier to get on and that it is more comfortable.

I started using the Babyhawk when my son was about a week old and never had any problems.  Are you certain your daughter is in right?  I'm not quite sure what you mean about a huge gap between her head and the carrier - are you wearing it tightly enough?  Because there should be no gap between her head and the material.

 

Here's us when he was about 2 weeks old, you can't see him because he's so tiny he's completely covered by the carrier.  His legs are froggied up, and he's seated so his back/neck/head are supported by the carrier fabric:

I used a MT but a different brand from BH from birth. I never had any issues, make sure it's tight enough, check out a few youtube videos for help. Maybe post a pic on here so people can better see what you are having issues with.

Roll up a recieving blanket and put it around/behind LO's neck as a head support. It works perfectly for us.

Hmm...I'm thinking that maybe baby's legs don't splay wide enough for her to get a good seat deep, down in the body of the carrier. When baby is seated deeply in the BH, there should be plenty of height for head support. Have you tried putting a hair band or ribbon arond the "crotch" of the panel to cinch it down? You could also try legs-in.
