Dropcam & Foscom users

We have been looking into getting these versus a typical nursery monitor.  Do you have to purchase the apps through the app market to be able to use them?  How do you use them without the app?

We have the drop cam, love it! Took less than 5 mins to set up And get running. From the reviews sounds much easier than foscam. I downloaded the free on on our iPhones, and I pads and get it on our computer as well . Works great, baby is not here yet but I have been spying in my dogs

We have the Foscam- if you know how to set up routers, etc., it's not that difficult to do.  There is an app but there's a free version and a paid version.  We have the app on our smart phones (Droid) but there's also an iPhone version, and we also can access it on the internet (password protected).  You log into the camera so that has to be set up through your router.

I'm due end of January so we haven't used it for a baby but had a lot of fun tormenting the cat for a little bit when we were testing it out.  (With the paid app we can talk into it.)

My DH says there are other apps as well but we haven't tried any out. The one we have was recommended by a friend.

We are trying to decide between the dropcam and the wifi baby? Does anyone have advice?

Actually now we are trying to decide between the Foscam and the Dropcam. I can not see any real differences?

We have dropcam and I bought it based on reviews that foscam can be difficult to set up. I set up our dropcam in under 5 minutes on multiple devices. It was super easy!

we have the foscam and love it. there was setup involved, but we didn't encounter any stumbling blocks. i use the IP Cam Viewer on my phone/kindle fire, and can access it from any browser too. i absolutely love the quality.
