Adoption

MN adoption agencies - Crossroads and CHSFS

I posted on here a while ago but took a break since I knew it'd be a while until we had enough money saved up to start the adoption process. Well now we've got a godo amount saved up and are hoping to start the process this spring. We've narrowed it down to two different agencies in MN - Crossroads and Children's Home Society and Family Services/Lutheran Social Services (they recently merged). We really can't decide between the two so I thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone has experience with either agency or any feedback/comments.

Thanks!

Re: MN adoption agencies - Crossroads and CHSFS

  • We have friends who have used both and been very happy! Sorry!
Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! • We are from MN and using Christian Family Services out of Fargo, ND, they serve ND and MN...  I know I went to Lutheren's meeting and liked it, just didn't feel it was right for us.  I didn't check into the other one too much.  So I'm not much help with your decision, but just wanted to say good luck on your journey!  We are right in the same place with ours, we plan on turning in our application at the end of the month.  I hope it all works out great for ya and welcome!
