We were supposed to leave for ID today but SO's aunt, who was in her 60's, passed away unexpectedly. Apparently she went to the hospital three times with chest pains and thought she was having a heart attack, and they kept sending her home. She died of a massive heart attack. Since we're going to be out of state during the memorial service, we made the 2.5hr drive to the beach to see SO's family and pay our respects, and leave a day later. Then I realized it is Seahawk game day. SO said he will hurry and pack up the truck so we can get to the ski resort. But I just got word from MIL that more family just rolled in. So tomorrow, I am stalling. Long enough that Gator can see some family members, we can pack, and we can watch the 'Hawks play. I will stall long enough that we leave Monday morning instead....that resort isn't going anywhere. And anyway, who the heck wants to listen to the game on the radio....ummm.....nobody.
So Seahawk fans in the Oct 2011 board....I am giving you a "thru the internet" football player manly asss slap.....::::slap:::::
Re: Sunday....'Hawks
My brother is a huge Hawks fan. I should be a Hawks fan too since that is the closest team to us, but having been raised in the Bay Area, I am a diehard Niners fan. Anyway, I am always keeping my eye on them since they are in the same division as my Niners. Elsa I hope you have a great time in ID and have fun watching the game.
I am so sorry about SO's aunt passing away. That completely sucks that they didn't catch that she was having heart problems.
I remembered that you were a huge Niners fan too!
Thankfully my DH doesn't have a team he roots for so I can deck DS out in Niners gear! Yippee!
ETA: I also wanted to add that I almost never get to see the Niners play since we are in Seabuzzard viewing territory. I have been fortunate enough to watch several games this season and I am so glad they won the NFC west. Now they just need to be the NFC champs. Go Niners!
