I just read a book with a character named Kincaid, who went by Kade and I really liked it. Kincaid is nice if you want a longer name with Kade or Cade as a nickname too.

My bff named her son Caden but we all call him Cade. I didn't like it on it's own at first because it reminded me too much of the name "Slade" which I hated. But now that we call him Cade I really like it.
Re: Cade
Not a fan, but I'm a traditional kind of gal. I know one little guy named Kade and it makes me cringe.
Kinda trendy, not very sophisticated, IMHO.
Sorry.
This. Not a fan of Cade.
I actually like it. I wouldn't use it myself but I think it's a good name.

Never in my arms, but always in my heart.
Yep. I looked it up on Nameberry and it's definitely a modern name that cracked the top 200 back around 2000. Agree it sounds perhaps more like a NN.

I have a Cade in my grade 6 class and there is a Kade in the grade below.
Interestingly enough, I never heard of the name Caden until the last year (my cousin named her DS Caden).
I think Cade sounds like a stronger name than Caden. I would use it as a fn on its own.
