About 6 weeks ago I posted that my husband had a sperm analysis that was REALLY bad. Very low everything.... count, mobility and volume.
A few of you recommended I get the Fertility Blend for men, which he has been taking, and we definitely cut out MOST of his alcohol and caffeine consumption. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your advice!!
As of last week, his sperm count was in the NORMAL range! And my doctor said we now have a chance of conceiving naturally.
To all of your advice, I greatly appreciate it --- thank you so much!
Re: Normal SA.... Thank you!
that's awesome!
that is what happened to us too, and I was shocked by the second SA! Of course we had already been trying for a year so it just allowed us to do an IUI instead of straight to IVF, but it was great news none the less.

Since the sperm that comes out now was born about 90 days ago, you are not seeing the results from changes six weeks ago. That is also why we suggest getting a second S/A done to see if the first one was a fluke or if he had been fighting a virus three months prior.
In otherwords - I'm so happy for you that he had a wonderful S/A! But the improvements from taking Fertility Blend for Men and limiting his alcohol and caffeine consumption will show up in another 6-7 weeks from now when it hits abour the 12-13 weeks mark (ie 90 days).
BUT, as someone that's been dealing with MFI for over three and a half years let me tell you that S/A's can be all over the damn map. DH has had a sample as low as 9 mil TOTAL and as high as 70mil/ml in 2ml (so 140mil total). And then his next was back down to 13mil/ml. Wide swings. I don't mean to burst your bubble but if you've been trying for a year and feel now you're "fixed" that might not be the case. DH's count and motility went up after being on Fertility Blend for Men for four months to the point that someone could have said "You are above normal now and can conceive naturally." That was Oct. 2010. Clearly we're still here. While giving it a few more months if you want is fine (hell, after Oct. 2010 we took another six months of trying on our own before starting treatment) but I want to give you a view from someone in hindsight. Give yourself a "We'll still do treatment if we're not KU by X". But good luck with getting PG, no matter how it happens.
