Baby growth question

At what age did your babies reach 7.5 lbs? I'm wondering if it's worth it to get a pack n play for the first couple of months for them to sleep in...it has a 15 lb weight limit. I am clueless about how quickly babies put on weight, so, at what age did yours reach 7.5? I know the cosleeper has a higher weight limit, but it's big and expensive and we already have 2 RnP's and cribs.

My boys were born at just under five pounds. They were 7 lbs. at their one month appointment. My pedi wanted my boys to gain 8 oz./week, but I'm not sure if that is typical or if it was because the boys were small for gestational age and late term preemies.

mine were born 5lb 4oz and 4lb 14oz.  the smaller one is growing faster and was 6lb 12oz @ his 1 month checkup.  the bigger baby is growing slower and is now 6lb 12oz @ 5weeks appointment.  my MIL (pediatrician) once they gain back their birth weight they should gain an ounce a day approximately.
