Hi ladies!  Hope you are all having a great start to 2013 and a good week last week! 

 

No BFP announcements this week.

 

This is a check in for those of us that are TTC #2 or more and that have had one or more losses. A few board members thought it would be nice to connect with other 2IF ladies who have had losses since it's nice to have the support and friendship of others going through similar experiences.

 

Check in is every Friday. Please note it may not be until afternoon or evening but I am planning to keep it going every Friday!

KKDRAGONFLY - I'm so sorry about the results of the last IUI for you.  Holidays are rough and the crazy hormones don't help.  But it sounds like you have a plan ahead for moving on to IVF.  I'll be hoping you have a smooth transition with your move and search for a new RE.

 

DahliaFlower - Welcome!  I'm so sorry for your loss of your daughter.  I wish none of us had to endure loss anniversaries.  I'm glad you have a plan in place and are seeing someone new.  Wish you all the best for the upcoming round of IVF!

 

egsquared - Ugh sounds like a rough first appointment with the nurse you had.  I'm glad you were able to talk to the nurse you usually work with and that she will be able to go through it with you again.  It's so nice when you find those nurses and staff that are helpful.   Yay that you will be headed on a trip with your mom and DD!  That is something fun to look forward to!

 

iloveshanej - How are you doing?  Last week you mentioned having kind of a weird period and temps.  Did things regulate a bit this week? 

 

efhoping2010 - Welcome!  Thanks so much for you intro.  Wishing you lots of luck in the new year and that you are able to have another try of IVF/ICSI and that it will bring you a beautiful sticky bean! 

 

SigmundsGirl, Lauren79, & ttcmbbaby - we missed you last week and hope you're doing well. 

 

Lauren79 - Saw you thread about testing and whether or not it was leftover trigger or not and that you posted on the other check in you will have betas taken Monday - wish you tons of luck and will be looking for an update!

 

QOTW:  If you could have any superhuman power what would it be?  Examples include but not limited to x-ray vision, invisibility, teleportation, healing, superhuman strength, telepathy, and time travel.

I am just waiting for CD 1 to hit still so I can get the RPL testing started.  I had my post-op appointment from my D & C with my OBGYN yesterday morning.  It was a good appointment.  I like her a lot and trust her on everything.  So I wanted to get her insight on the tests my RE is wanting to run. 

Her take on it was that it was more than likely that none of the tests would show any abnormalities and that the most likely reason for my losses is strictly due to the age of my eggs.  And that regardless of any other possible reason for the losses, I will still always have that challenge from this point forward.  So that was good to hear in a way but also depressing to hear in a lot of other ways.

I am still really on the fence on whether or not I want to get the chromosomal and genetic tests done up front or wait until we see if there are any other possible reasons that come up. It's just that we are on a budget of course, like everyone, and with those being the most expensive tests I'm not sure if we want to do them up front or look to see if there's some other reason first. I go back and forth and will need to make a decision soon.

QOTW: I think I'd like time travel. I have too many good memories in my life already I'd love to go back to. And so many things in histor would be cool to witness!  Tough call though - I feel guilty for not picking healing lol!  Healing would be amazing of course, but then I guess there might be some disadvantages to that - I mean, if you could heal people completely then you'd have the decision of who lives or dies involved with that and I don't know that I could carry that weight!

Hi - I'd like to join.  I had one very early loss in February 2011.  Trying on and off since then - mainly naturally and then had all the testing done in February 2012, found out I had a fibroid, had that removed and thought (hoped)it would do the trick.  After no luck all summer and fall, went back to the RE, geared up for IUI but found another fibroid! had that removed a few weeks ago and now am waiting for CD1 to move forward with Clomid and IUI.

Hi ladies!  Happy Friday! 

My baseline for IVF #1 is scheduled for Thursday, 1/10.  I guess if all looks well, stims start Friday.  That's one week from today! Eeeek!

QOTW:  I think teleportation would also be awesome.  I waste so much time in the car, on the train, etc.  It would be great to leave work and pick up DD at school a second later.  And you could just get so much more done in general.

Thanks for doing this!  Check-in's can be a lot of work, but it is great to connect. 

You can read a little in my siggy, but I delivered still born twin boys at 19 weeks.  They were beautiful and oh so tiny, but perfect and my DS reminded me of them when he was born those first few days in the hospital.  When DS was 10 months I stopped BFing so I would get AF again.  After about 6 months on a clomid cycle we had a CP.  Since then we haven't been able to get PG and that includes the recent IVF #1.  We are full force headed into IVF#2 and praying for our miracle.

I am so sorry for everyone else and their losses.

My superhuman power would be to be like Samantha in Bewitched!  Man she could do it all with a wiggle of her nose!! That was GOOD TV!

Thanks, Anita. Last week I read everyone's update, but was too lazy to type mine. :-)

I am so glad we took a break this cycle. I was so stressed with work and the holidays that Clomid would have pushed me over the edge. But when Christmas came I was stress- free and content.

My doctor did CD3  blood work several weeks back just for grins and everything looks good. I should get AF next week, then we will start IUI #1.

QOTW: I would love the power of persuasion. Then I would never have a cranky toddler. LOL.

Update : this month due to travel schedule of my husband we have zero chance of pregnancy. My RE had names to refer me to in California. I plan to focus on weight loss the next few months and then resume ttc and do IVF. But probably just one round. For a variety of reasons I am the end of this journey.
QOTW : stop time. I would like to pause time to get stuff done.

I had what appears to be a preovulation dip yesterday so I may ovulate today or tomorrow which would be 2-3 days early. Temps are normalizing. Just playing the waiting game!

Sorry I missed last week.  I turned a digital positive this morning and the lines on the FRER are getting darker.  Wish I could jump up and down for joy but I can't.  My beta is on Monday and I probably won't relax or be happy until I see the heartbeat.  I am very scared.  Haven't been religious in a long time, but I keep thinking "God wouldn't let this happen a fourth time right?" 

QOTW: Teleportation for sure.  I would be able to see all my friends and family anytime I wanted back in NY.  I could also shop...in NY again anytime I wanted : )
