Darn HBP!

So, the past week hasn't been great for me.   

Ended up in the OB triage on NYE due to upper left abdominal pain.  Baby is great, but my BP was elevated (I figured due to the pain).  Was told to stay home from work and take it easy until my regular appointment today.  Pain is getting much better.  BP was still a little high (better than NYE, tho) and my doc wanted to put me on bedrest.  I convinced her that I would go nuts, so she is letting me work 1/2 days for a week to see if I get better or if I really am getting gestational hypertension.  At least my job is mostly desk work and they are cool about PG issues.  Now I just need to think calm thoughts for a week.....

    Yikes! Sorry you had to spend your NYE in the hospital! But it's great that your doc was willing to listen to you and meet you halfway instead of just saying "No, you must go on bedrest or else!" I hope the next week is a calm one and your BP is nice and normal at the end of it!

    We were lucky - the stay was short - only about 2 hours.  That was more than enough!

    I'm glad the pain has receded, and hopefully the high BP resolves itself too.

    They told me that there is really nothing that I can do about the HBP.  I know how frustrated you must be.  Hang in there.
