New to the Group - Actively TTC

Hi!  After a little while of lurking, I have finally decided to get on the Bump. My DP and I have been together for over 6 years and had a wedding ceremony in May of 2011. We started our odyssey of TTC back in June. We went through all of our pre-reqs for the RE we are seeing and began actively TTC in Sept. with no known fertility issues. At first starting with natural cycles, but then moved quickly on to medicated cycles. I decided if our last IUI didn't work that I would join. Since we live in the Bible belt, we don't really have a  huge active gay community to connect easily with that are also going through TTC.

Today was IUI #4 and I'm currently working from home trying to stay zen. We've gone through a lot of emotions over the last few months and now we just try to roll with the punches and basically live in two week windows. I'm just thankful that we are in a place where we can continue to try when it doesn't work. We're excited to start a family and I'm excited every time we try to get pregnant! Countdown to Jan. 15th!

IUI #1 - natural + ovidril and monitored Sept. 2012 - BFN
IUI  - natural and monitored Cancelled due to missed ovulation
IUI #2 - 50mg clomid, ovidril Nov. 2012 - BFN
IUI #3 - 50mg clomid, ovidril Dec. 2012 - BFN
IUI #4 - 5mg Femera, ovidril Jan 2012 ?

Welcome!  TTC is an emotional journey and being in the South definitely made it harder for us to be open about it.  My partner and I live in small town Texas so I fully understand you there.

Hi, I am also new on here and my wife and I are about to start trying but we have no idea where to start and how to go about anything. We moved to JAX, FL to be closer to our supportive family. We met 07/09 and got married 04/12. We havent been able to find any friends or families that are LGBT around our community. We would love to have some feedback and advice from anyone. I dont know how to work this site and I cant figure out what all of the "sigs?" are or what that even is.
