Hi ladies, I just wanted to introduce myself here because we found out yesterday that we're expecting identical twins. I've been through the whole range of emotions, but I think we've finally settled on tempered excitement. I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment, because, well, twins and a toddler seems crazy to me. 

We're headed to the MFM on Monday to make sure the babies are mono/di twins, not mono/mono. My OB thought she saw the divide, but she wanted to send us early to double check. Anyways, I'm glad to have the wisdom and experience of this board to guide me through!

Congratulations and welcome!  My twins were my first and it has been crazy without a toddler to chase around!  But you have plenty of ladies here that have boldly gone before you and will have great advice!

Congrats and welcome! Don't let your doctor get you too panicked about the dividing membrane. It can be very hard to see this early on. We didn't see one of ours until after 22 weeks. But do look out for the number of yolk sacs, as that generally corresponds to the number of amniotic sacs.

Thanks ladies! Also, thanks for the encouragement pea-kay. I just keep trying to remind myself that mono/mono twins are very, very rare.

Congrats and welcome! I had mono/di twins who were originally diagnosed as mono/mono. It was around 12 weeks that we could see the membrane.

That's great to hear. We're actually fairly near you. We used to live in Alexandria (parkfairfax) and we're in Aldie now.
