Follicle size and trigger shot?

So Im CD 11 and had two follies that were almost 17 mm. The NP wants me to trigger tonight and do an IUI on Fri. Does this seem too early to you and too small of a follie size?

I always did better when they waited to trigger me when follicles were in the 18-20mm range.  If the follicles are too small, the egg isn't as likely to be mature and capable of fertilization, but wait too long and I think the egg might be too old and not viable either.  It's so hard to know.  Good luck to you!

I don't really have an answer for you.  I can't remember my follie sizes.  But I really hope this works for you!  GL and FX.

My largest for IVF #1 was 20.5 and for IVF #2 was 19.  My RE doesn't like to trigger before they are at least 18. 

Looking back at my old notes, the day before trigger the first time, I had 1 18 and 4 17s, but still stimmed one more day.  The second time, I had 2 17s the day before trigger, so I can definitely see why she had me wait.

I think it sounds okay.  The trigger gives your follies a boost of about 2mm per day.  Do you know the follie size(s) from you succesful cycle with your LO?

I just wanted to wish you the best of luck with your IUI.  My RE's were never great at communicating follie size to me, I do know that with my IVF cycle's many follie's were 17 day of trigger & grew some more in the day after so by the time you actually do your IUI they should be a good size.  GL & FX for you

I wish I remembered the sizes. I was at another RE then. Im going back to him after this cycle but hoping I wont have too. FX.

IUI 1 was in August 2010. I had a 16 mm on each ovary on CD 12. RE had me trigger CD 13. I got pregnant with DD 1 that cycle.

IUI 2 was November 2012. On day 12 I had a 13 15 and 17 mm all on the left. RE had me stim one more time and trigger CD 13. I'm pregnant again... this time with twins.
