Babies: 6 - 9 Months

playdate for LO

Hi

My DH works from home so our LO gets to spend a lot of father daughter time. It is nice not having to worry about daycare but I am wanting my little girl to have some social time with other LOs. We live in the Fort Collins area and I am off work daily by 4 and I never work on the weekends.

My daughter is 7 months and I think she would love to interact with a baby around her age!

  • Look into the local Y aka ymcas... I think they have some kind of program for mom's & babies/kids. tumbling, i think it's called, though I may be wrong.

Be careful with preschool, i'm sure you know this, but really do your homework. Any kind of religion based preschools, daycares, are not required to have licensing, or properly educated staff o.0 kinda scary imo

  • You can also try the local library. Ours offers several story times for babies in the 0-3 age range. I was really getting excited about it, but right now it's during DS's best nap time. Hopefully yours will offer something at a better time. There are also mom and toddler groups listed on meetup.com. You can search for them in your area and get more info. A lot of the groups will say up front if they are strict about attendance, screening members, etc. Some are more for mom get-togethers, so you might want to ask them specifically if they have play-dates regularly for the kiddos.
