Hi- I'm due April 5, 2013 with my third baby. I had been on the April 2013 boards but the women are really mean. Since my baby will probably come in March anyway, (I always go early) I thought I'd ask for your thoughts.
I need random opinions from people who do not know me... What do you think of the name Ryder for a boy?
Thanks!
Re: Baby Name- Ryder
I like it. But the only thing that matters is if you and SO/DH like it.
Sorry people are being mean. I guess it's all those hormones, plus the constant threat of peeing in your pants!
I think it's a cute name, but really the only thing that matters is if you and your DH like it.
Also, I didn't see where you posted on April 2013 about names so I'm not sure how they were "mean" to you. If you post on a message board, you need to be prepared that some people will not agree with you (whether it's the name you picked, your opinion, a question, etc). It's not the end of the world and it's probably best not to tattle on a board on a different board.
Best of luck!

I love the name Ryder. it was actually on our list but our last name starts with an R and it just sounded like a tounge twister when we said the FN and LN together.
I don't mind the name but it's something that I can see a kid getting teased for. I can see other kids saying, "Oh, don't Ryder (rider her) too hard" etc (when your son is a teen). :S It's the exact reason that, even though I love the name Honour, I cannot use it for a girl someday. Someone brought up the fact that others may say things like, "She's honour (on her) back all the time" etc. in a dirty way and it totally ruined the name for me.
Edited for clarity.

I agree, I can't picture working with an executive named Ryder.
I don't like that Ryder sounds like "ride her."
If you like Ry names, I do love the name Ryan.
