What classes are you interested in or are you taking this year with your LO?

I just signed up for 12 sessions of Mommy and Me Dance classes; toddler yoga; and we will continue going to two different book babies and The Little Gym (check out if there is one near you! https://thelittlegym151.reachlocal.net/RaleighCaryNC/Pages/parent-child.aspx)

The classes are based on a...

"Three-Dimensional Learning

Get Moving! Increased physical strength and muscle control, fine and gross motor skill development, coordination, balance

Brain Boost! Spatial and perceptual awareness, introduction to colors, language development and self-expression, knowledge of numbers and letters, initial problem solving

Citizen Kid! Developing independence and feeling comfortable away from parents, early socialization, sharing and taking turns, accepting new environments, following directions and cooperating"

Bowen is crazy about music so I thought I would email a few music instructors at the university by us, and see if we can attend a few practices? Just a thought! It would be a good way to foster his awareness of rhythm and expose Bo to an academic environment.

Sadly, as a working mom, there is very little that we can consider attending.  Especially when we don't get home until closer to 5:30 each day, and bedtime is 6:45.  I'm considering asking my boss if I can adjust my hours earlier, and then maybe I'll see if we can find something that works for us.  I'd LOVE to get him into a music class, he's a dancing fool!

ETA: Huh, what do ya know?  There's one kind-of near us (maybe 25 minutes away?), and they have Saturday classes.  We might look into it, thanks Beca!

YES!!!!! You should do it! Make sure you at least take advantage of the first free class!

I love the Saturday class because then my H can go too!

Spring time we might do swim again to get ready for pool season. Or tumbling class at the Y once hes 18 months.

:-)  Looks fantastic - my mom's group (4 moms, 4 babies) is usually very good about trying a new activity every few months - I'll throw some of this at them and see who bites.

I meant to say I have taken Bo to Kindermusik, but I did not care for it too much! I did not like how you have to buy the shakers, and all of the other stuff!

I almost wish I could find a musical therapy grad student to come to the house a few times a month...hmm? I am going to look into that!

oh I did not know that! You should just start hosting a music for toddler class!

We pay for the class, 180 for the session of 10 classes. We don't pay for instruments. They give you a CD with most of the songs we do in class, he loves listening at home.

How fun! The nearest class for me is 40 minutes away. Guess Max and I will have to make our own class with his new instruments.
