Hey ladies, hope you all had a great Christmas. My little guy was born last Feb. at 30 weeks. Since he was early life got crazy for a while and I haven't been on here in a long time. Anyway, what things are you babies doing? I am trying to figure out if Wyatts milestones are closer to his "actual" birth date, or his "adjusted" birth date. Today he realised he could pull up on things and let go with one hand. I was a proud momma!
Re: reintroduction...
I am uber lazy in the new year so I am copying from jmccall...
Let's see Eowyn crawls, pulls up on everything, will walk along holding onto things but prefers crawling because it's faster. She has 7 teeth but is working on her molars which STINKS. She eats pretty much everything. We are lucky in that she sleeps through the night, signs milk and hungry, says mama, dada and doggie, waves bye bye and drinks from a straw.
She just took two unassisted steps, started giving kisses and can point to mama's ears, nose, the lights and the doggies with shocking accuracy. Also - if I sing patty-cake to her she does all of the hand movements including makes a sign for the B! I still can't believe she does that one!
My family is a Foreign Service family. Families like mine are posted in every corner of the globe. We live our lives away from family, friends and the conviences and comforts of home. We often live and work in dangerous places among those that misunderstand our intentions and purposes. Sometimes members of our ranks sacrifice our lives to further diplomacy. Please remember that we serve too. And I'm always open to questions.
Welcome back! Eli is crawling like a manic, pulling up and cruising on whatever he can reach, he's starting to stand unassisted and babbling like crazy. His newest trick is pointing. He'll point at an object, we'll tell him what it is, then even if it sounds nothing like the actual object - he tries to repeat what we say. He's gotten the dogs names down (Ki Ki and Ni Ni for Keeko and Neeko), "fishes" and a handful of other things.
ETA: He has 6 visible teeth, 4 top and 2 bottom, with 2 more on the bottom coming in.
Welcome back to the best BMB out there! Allison is walking everywhere - she prefers it to crawling now - and carrying anything she can hold with her. I frequently find the remote control in her toy box, the kitchen, the dog bed, etc. She has six teeth and is pretty much self weaned from formula now. But at the same time, she hates all food currently so that is fun. She started pointing recently and now, just like Eli, she can point to what we ask for. We are working on things like nose, eyes, ears but for some reason dog, cat and Dad are more fun!
She is babbling but not associating words with things yet - with the exception of kitty, puppy and daddy of course!
