I ordered an Oh Baby Ka pocket diaper off Ebay last night. I didn't realize till after though that it was a straight from China thing. Anyone use these? It was like 6$ for the diapers and 2 bamboo inserts, so its not a total wash if it sucks.

Are Alva's and Kawaiis basically the same? Should I order straight from Alva or from superstash.net?  I guess if I wanted to get both brands to try I should go through superstash.  

 

I'm also bidding on BG 3.0's and Fuzzibunz on Ebay. 

 

Also I have 1 pocket dipe from a friend that makes CD's. I've just been laundering it like regular clothes. But once we switch it will go in with diaper laundry. Should I strip it when I start getting my diapers?

Why don't you wash it with towels and use the recommended amount of detergent for CDs? pre-rinse, hot wash w/ detergent and extra rinse.  One of the things I've realized CDing is that if diapers can get clean with such a small amount of detergent, everything else can too!

I love my kawaiis WAY more than Alva. I have one Alva. I like it ok, it does the job and it never leaks. But my Kawaiis have a leak proof barrier on the top front inside (I don't know if that made sense) like BG's have. Alva's don't. Honestly, if I redid my entire stash, I'd order all Kawaii's and Sunbabys. My Sunbabys never leak and are way trimmer than any other diaper I own!

I highly suggest using superstash.net. She's amazing! She sends a personal note with every order and usually a sample of something, too. I emailed her about her wonderful costumer service after I ordered one, yes, just ONE alva, and I got a sample of detergent and CJ's butter. The samples were probably almost worth the diaper. 

BG 3.0's are ok. As long as you're not getting the aplix *velcro* ones, you're ok. The aplix goes really fast on the BG's...

Thats a very good point. I just do way larger loads than I would when I'm washing CD's 

 

Are Sunbabies very good? You can only buy like 12+ at a time. I mean yeah its only 60$ though.

They never leak and they fit my DD sooo well! Plus they have super cute prints that they change up all the time! The price can't be beat, either.  I order through co-ops. Takes only like 6 weeks to get them, and they're way cheaper.

I don't have much to add.  Just wanted to throw out that I love my Kawaii's.  They fit great and I dont' have any leak problems.  Haven't tried the other brands you mentioned.

Sunbaby now offers express shipping!!! No need to wait for those adorable prints anymore. My co-op gets its sunbaby order within a week and a half now! WOOT!

When you get your Oh BabyKa, will you do a review for us? I was looking at them on ebay yesterday and wondering if they're any good. The price is great and they have free shipping, so I'm definitely curious.

I think the benefit of ordering through Superstash instead of directly from Kawaii or Alva is that she's U.S. based and processes the order right away, so you'll get your order much more quickly. I ordered directly from Kawaii and it took 3 weeks. I just ordered a couple Alvas from Superstash as a gift for a friend and I'm looking forwarding to getting it soon

Yes. I won't have a ton to compare it to, but from what I've seen just researching. A lot of people don't have actual issues with the diapers themselves. More the fact that they come from china. I'm interested to get it and see how it goes. I'm going to order a couple of sunbabies, kawaiis, and alva's and I'm bidding on a lot of 24 fuzzibunz (with snaps) so maybe I'll complete and fill out my stash

I just got my oh baby ka diapers...cheap materials and one diaper has broken snaps along the entire top row, making the diaper useless. I've emailed the eBay seller hoping to get the diaper refunded or replaced. I'd probably suggest investing in sun baby's or baby lands.
