DS has had a constant cough for a couple of days. It is just a normal "cold-type" cough - not phlegmy, just a throat tickle. I can't get anything to help it. I have tried a couple different medicines with some combination of Antihistamine, Cough suppressant, and/or Decongestant, but his cough continues. (I have only given him 1 tsp. before naptime or bedtime each day.) I would love to hear some other remedies that have helped your LOs coughs.
TIA!
Re: coughing toddler
We don't give our kids the OTC cough/cold meds except Hyland's- I really like their PM one in particular, it really seems to help my LOs sleep when they have cough & stuffy nose. GL! We also use vicks on the chest/back and humidifier. And we're big fans of the nosefrida nose sucker for stuffy noses. If their noses seem really stuffed up and they can't breathe through them & we can't suck much out, I'll give a little Benadryl at bedtime, but not for cough.
