Things I'm going to (and already) miss

I just rocked Allison to sleep for her nap...and kept her in my arms long after she was asleep.  It seems like yesterday that she spent most of the day in my arms, now only when she is fussy or sleepy.  I know the number of times I have left to rock her to sleep is smaller every day and that makes me sad.

More than that, I know it will be different when (if) #2 comes along.  I won't be able to sit on the couch/rocker for hours holding the next one.  But I will try!

I love this little girl's face and when she smiles my heart melts...but I so miss the little baby she used to be!

Aww that's so sweet!

Don't worry, I have 2 and I still am able to rock him. I rock him for all his naps & bedtimes. I cherish those moments too- soon he won't want to be rocked anymore just like his big sister.

me too!!! I miss holding her all day, now the days I am home with her are spent chasing her and only get to hold her when she is sick or fussy.

I try to focus on all the things she is learning and how much easier it is now that she can play alone....but I miss the cuddles

Yes! It's amazing that they already act like little kids, not babies.

I'm holding on to the fact (hope?) that we'll have one more. I know I'll be a mess trying to hold on to babyhood with that one, though, knowing it will be the last time for everything as a mama.

Sorry!  I just love watching her sleep!  It makes my heart melt!  Then she wakes up screaming and not so much!

Awww! Time goes by way too fast! I was just thinking the other day what we will be looking forward to in 2013: running and talking, learning about objects around us, etc. It almost seems foreign compared to what we have been dealing with this last year! I'm going to miss my baby.

I feel the same! It's one of the reasons I'm so anxious but so scared for number 2. I'm anxious to have a little baby back but I'm scared I'll lose my bond with Munchkin as well asnot be able to grow as strong of one with the next.

Paul has been a fussy mess today because of his teeth and he actually let me snuggle and rock him to sleep for his nap. It was the best.

Aww.... I just looked through his pictures when we first brought him home and I'm all teary   I love rocking and holding him tight during nap time.  He's so darn cuddly, I can't imagine it any way!

That won't happen! I am still able to cuddle and snuggle with DS2 when he lets me, and I am closer than ever with DS1. They sometimes nap at the same time, but usually it is somewhat staggered, so I get a lot of one on one time with each of them. I was worried about it, too. I cried many times while I was pregnant because I thought things couldn't be as good as when I just had one LO, but I assure you, it is just as good with two!
