My 3 1/2 year old DD woke up this morning with an upset stomach and vomited, just once and seemed to feel better. After a couple of hours she ate a banana and some yogurt and is playing as usual. I'm worried because we have a 3 week old DS and I don't want him to catch something. I've cleaned and sanitized but she seems fine. She's usually not a puker but maybe she just had a sour stomach? Thoughts?
Re: Virus or just a sour stomach?
DD#1 did this a couple times before, but this year there seems to be a weird host of illnesses floating about. In the last week, DD#1 had strep, an ear infection and a sinus infection. She played and slept well. Boogers and a cough, but not debilitating. DS had an ear infection and a stomach thing- puked two times in one night, then fine. DD#2 had pink eye. I took them all to get checked out bc of the pink eye and I was shocked to find out how sick the other two actually were.
I am a wait and see mom (ugh- and that's how I missed it). But my kids, despite playing together constantly- the girls even share a bed- very rarely every cross-contaminate- whether I sanitize the toys or not.
So my mixed message is look out, you may be missing something, and yet you can probably relax...good luck.
