Which way to spell.....

I already know that most of you don't like this name...but right now its still our top choice. We are 4 weeks away and I am name searching like crazy. We will probably end up sticking with Kelsey Ryan for our daughter. Which way would you spell Kelsey.....with the Y or with an IE. I seem to like the Y better because I feel it looks "correct" I guess...but at the same time maybe using the IE will help with the girl or boy issue. Thanks in advance for ALL opinions ) & Happy New Year to all.

Kelsey is a great name! Either spelling leaves a feminine impression for me. I had Kelseys and Kelsies in my classes throughout high school, all girls.

Yep - I think the Y at the end of the name usually looks correct whereas inserted in the middle of a name is where you often run into "you-neek" looking spellings

I agree that using the "y" looks better than an "ie." The "ie" would make it look too cutesy, IMO.
