More excited with 2?

Does anyone else feel they are/were more excited for number two? With my first it all sort of felt surreal and no matter how much I tried to imagine being a mommy it just didn't sink in. With this one I know what a blessing a child is and I am so much more excited to meet this LO.

With #2 I was super excited to get to see how different the kids might be.  They are :-)

With #3 on the way I am excited to be completing our family.  I am excited that all the future vacations I will always know how many and all that.  I'm just excited that everyone with a ticket to the Filipi family will be present and accounted for

With #1, I didn't love her for a little bit after she was born. I had no idea how to love a child, and I didn't have that instant love people speak of. It took a while to love her completely, maybe I had PPD, but Im not sure. I had a lot of adjusting to do with #1. I was super excited but didn't know what to expect. 

With #2 I knew what that love was. I love my DS before he was even born and I know I loved him the instant he was born. I already knew how to love a child. I was more excited for #2 because I knew what to expect, I had no unrealistic expectations and I wanted to know so badly what he looked like.

Plus, DS completes our family, so it was exciting to know he was our last.

I am SO much more excited about #2! Dd was unplanned, dh and I hadn't even wanted to have children. That's not to say I didn't love her, but I was unprepared and had no idea what I was getting into. The first few months were touch and go, and I stayed stressed and scared the entire pregnancy. This time, I'm just so excited to meet this new life I'm growing, and I can't wait to give dd a little sibling!

No. I was super excited and bonded as soon as the pee dried with DD. but we were TTC, with a loss too, for a year. This time happened so quickly and we never thought it would happen so easily. It's been a shock and I haven't really gotten used to it. Plus I'm kinda sad it won't be just DD and I anymore. We did try for this baby so it is wanted and loved and I know that if I don't bond more in the pg I will once I hold it.

Agreed. DD1 changed my life for the better so much, but i kept wanting things to go back to "normal." DD2 was just adding more love. I felt so much more settled and could enjoy the first couple of months much more with baby 2.

I feel the same exact way! I was so nervous and didnt know what to expect with DD but with this one it feels real and I have less nerves and I am so excited for my LO to be a big sister!
