I just read a blog of a woman who lost her three year old in the middle of a night because a small dresser fell on the little girl. It's 2 am, and I can't sleep. I've been planning on doing this and will attach his furniture tomorrow. Has anyone else done this?
We have most of the furniture K can get into anchored. He's a climber, and it makes me feel a lot better. I haven't anchored his dresser because it's low and so heavy, I don't think it's tipable. But maybe I should do it just in case... I'm worried about the lamps in his room (that he could pull them over and break the bulb), not sure what to do about that...
We have two bookcases in his room that we need to anchor to the walls. The dresser is too low and wide to tip over and the closet system is anchored already. I worry about our tv's in some of the other rooms, though.
Re: Attaching furniture
Might want to read it. Not even a large dresser. So sad.
