Hi everyone,
I'm a FTM, expecting a little girl in late April. MH and I have decided to cloth diaper, and I am just starting to build my stash now. I've been lurking on this board for awhile, and now I need some advice. We will probably do mostly prefolds for the newborn stage, and then hope to use mostly OS pockets/AIOs, once LO is big enough.
I'm looking into buying these prefolds, but the weight range for the newborn prefolds seems kind of small. I'm worried we won't get much use out of them, especially if LO is 8 to 9 lbs at birth. Any thoughts?
We do plan to have more kids, so we can certainly use them for the next kid, and perhaps as stuffing for bigger diapers?

Re: Intro and a question
I bought 12 of these:

12 Bummis preemie (4-9 lbs)
12 of the infant size of the ones you are looking at.
DD happened to be 5lbs, but that's uncommon. I used the Bummis ones at first, but the Sweet Pea ones fit her shortly after when she hit 6 lbs with a snappi and I still use them tri-folded at 14 lbs. I'd highly recommend them. They're 4x8x4 which increases the absorbancy. DD outgrew the Bummis 4x6x4 absorbancy (same as the ones you are looking at) at around 7 lbs.
I'd think that a prefold that fits at 6 lbs is a safe bet, especially since they can be used with a Snappi until 9-10 lbs and then tri-folded beyond that.
I like the infant size of the ones you are looking at too, but she was probably around 8 lbs before they fit. I use those tri-folded still and expect that tri-folded they will last another 5-6lbs at least
These are cheaper: https://well.ca/products/rearz-better-than-organic-prefold_26527.html
I used those. They were fine for NB diapers, but I also used them as burp cloths, change pad covers, nursing pads, etc.
