TMI...FTM, 3 days until due date

Sorry ladies for the little bit of TMI you are about to read.

I keep watching the board and it seems like everyone is having their babies early and it is killing me this waiting around part. I know that he will come when my body, the baby and God are ready for him. However, hubby and I are ready! As a side note: My mom was 3 weeks late having me and my twin brothers were delivered a week late.

As each week passes, I have more and more cramping and BH contractions. But nothing worth measuring. Hubby and I have had sex, ate spicy Mexican food and did lots of walking and nothing. (I do know that most of these items are wise-tales but why not, right.) Nothing until last night that is. I am loosing my mucus plug! It looks like large amounts of brown tinted snot. I know this can mean labor if a few hours or a few weeks. But I finally see another sign that he will come someday! 3 days left until my due date.

Please keep your labor/birthing stories coming, they are so helpful and greatly appreciated. I am such a planner, and I know this can't be planned entirely, so the stories really help. Good luck everyone with easy and healthy deliveries. And hopefully my son comes sooner than later.

They say labor comes within a few days of losing your mucus plug. You must be very close. It is torture at the end, I was two weeks late with my first two kids. Breathe and relax will probably help you the most go into labor.

Don't get too stressed out, a lot of FTMs go late. I know it gets annoying to her all the time baby will come when they r ready, but it is really true. My LO came on her own 3 weeks early and perfectly healthy, then you see women who get induced or have scheduled c section from 38 to 40 weeks and babies have some issues. One thing I can suggest that my doctor And i talked about yesterday after the conversation of self inducing came up was that the only things that work r nipple stimulation and sex because of the hormones that are released. He said walking and bouncing on yoga ball and eating spicy foods and all that other stuff are just old wives tales. Even if you r not dilated the nipple stimulation and sex help to soften cervix. Good luck you will see our healthy baby very soon.

I am right there with you! I am being patient but I also am getting anxious. I have about 4 days till due date and have been having cramping/BH but nothing worth timing. I also had a cleansing of the body if you know what I mean haha about 3 days ago. I have also been loosing what I think may be my mucus plug. But it is just small bits and pieces so I am not sure if it is really it or not. I have been walking a lot too and drinking my RRL tea but nothing to concrete yet. I know at my last weeks appointment I had her check me for the first time and I was 3cm and she said I was thinning out but that really means nothing. I hope our babies come soon! GL

1st timer question..is sex still okay after losing mucus plug as there could be a higher risk of infection?

I hate to tell you this, but I've been dilated for 1-1/2 weeks now and have lost my mucus plug TWICE now!  I have tried lots of things too - walking, eating a special local pizza known as Prego Pizza that has sent lots of moms into labor, sex, nipple stimulation, etc and nothing seems to work.  I know I am progressing towards delivery, but waiting is rough.  I have some pretty strong contractions each evening and I always think "okay, tonight's the night", but they always calm down. 

Last night I was convinced that we'd be on our way to L&D.  I was having cramping, baby was RIGHT on my cervix, etc.  It was very painful.  Here we are still at home this morning and I'm fine again.  Ugh!  

I hope delivery time is soon for all of us.  Waiting is rough...but worth it.  :+)

Yes ma'am the only time you cannot have sex is once your water breaks.
