Trying to Get Pregnant

Implantation bleeding?

What is the earliest implantation bleeding could occur? I have googled it, but find lots of different answers. I am 3 dpo i think... this is my first cycle post bcp and have had pinkbrownish spotting this evening. Could this be implantation bleeding or is it just my hormones being crazy?

Re: Implantation bleeding?

  • MANY people have random spotting throughout their cycle.. it's normal. The only way you will know if it was IB is if you get a BFP at the end of the month.

    I'm getting a headache.

FWIW, I never had spotting when I was on BCP. I spot between 5 and 7 days a cycle now.

  • I don't care about the snarky comments... Bitches will be bitches. Just wondering how you know what questions are okay to ask without getting snarky answers and what makes people feel so entitled to give their snarky answers. I will probably be finding another message board. Thought this could be a helpful one and I am rethinking that now. Thanks for your answer though.

  • Raeyn, I think I'm in love.

Eta: OP, you won't make many friends here busting out a bitches will be bitches comment already. You answered your own question with Google there's a wide range of when it can occur, if it even does. Only way to know if the bleeding you are having is IB is to get a positive test. Just because you never spotted before doesn't mean you won't start now.

Give us a chance. Lurk and read the newbie link. I'd post it for you but am mobile bumping. You can learn a lot of valuable TTC info from the ladies here.

You will learn to appreciate the snark. No one was trying to be b!tchy...it's just that there are several posts a day asking this same question.

Implantation bleeding is very rare but usually occurs 6 to 8dpo, I think. I spotted when pregnant with DS but wasn't charting at the time. This was between 5 and 11 weeks pregnant, so it was just random spotting, not IB.

So true, I want to find another site. I've only been on here two days and have already been insulted twice someone even asked if I really think I'm ready to be a mother!! it's disgusting, I'm sorry of some of you have been TTC for a long time, and are therefore veterans on this site, but that doesn't mean you need to be rude to the newbies.

Cool your tits. One ignorant poster said that and the next person stood up for you. Truthfulness is way too often mistaken as rudeness, meanness, bitter or snarky. OP and Michelle, stick around for more than a week and I promise that the ignorant posts will get on your nerves too. If not, move on to another board. Either way, we don't care. We don't know you and wont miss you. That's the truth.

  • Basically, I wanted to know other people's experience with IB. Was not asking for someone to tell me I am pregnant. I know that would be highly unlikely since it is my first cycle off bcp.
Btw, i have more bleeding bright red so I am assuming this is AF early.

With that being said, should I start charting today as cd 1 or should I wait until next cycle when the Bcp has had more time to get out of my system?

I am mobile bumping, so I cant read or see the newbie link.

  • after months and months of OMG amd I KU or being asked for the 1000th time if it is IB it gets old. PPl ask questions they already know the answers too bc they want someone to say OMG I had IB at 3dpo...when in realilty that does not happen. Lurk and chill with the butt hurt already this post was MILD...you could have gotten totally flamed. But walking into a room and calling ppl btches is not really a good way to start out.

I can't believe you didn't get a warm reception when you asked a bunch of people on the internet to interpret your spotting. Not to mention, if you lurked and read some posts on the first and second pages of the board you woukd have your answer.

But alas, we are all just bitter biitches. Toodles!

Random spotting and random CM after you stop birth control is perfectly normal. If you want people's experience with IB, your best bet is to ask 1st Tri, where they are actually pregnant and therefore know whether or not what they had was IB.

CD1 is the first day of red flow. Start charting now. If your cycles are irregular from the BC, not charting will just lead to frustration when you don't know what your body is doing.

On mobile, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list of threads and sort by "last post date." When you do this, the newbie link will be anchored at the top.

Lol. Between the shots for IB and "Am I Pregnant?" posts and Butthurt Bingo, we could be drunk and entertained for hours.

Don't leave because of the snark, and give them that satisfaction. On most boards you will always have the 'mean girls' clique, you know the one lone nut and her followers. Its just like high-school bullies, don't let them keep you from posting or not commenting. I plan on sticking around and could care less if they 'like' me or not. Its a public forum, they can post what they want and so can the rest of us that don't want to sit at their lunch table. Eventually, the clique will be separated by BFP's and will lose momentum. Hope you and the other lurkers stick around!

Oh yes, the passive-aggressive crap you're writng is so much more mature.

  • I don't know who you think was a *** to you. My flowchart offered helpful advice in a humorous format. It has pretty much all the information anyone else could give you in answer to your question.

I  have a flowchart to answer that, too! I'll admit, this one is a bit on the snarky side, as it was created for one poster in particular who asked several questions a day that all could have been easily looked up.

Keep charting, you can always seperate your BBT chart if it turns out to be AF. This way you'll already have your chart going or get a better idea of what is happening with your body. The newbie link will have a lot of good information for you as well as the tutorial on Fertility Friend, like PP's have stated.

When I had my son, I had implantation bleeding @ 9 DPO. At the time I thought it was AF on her way. It wasn't until after my BFP that I saw it was likely implantation bleeding.

I guess you're right. They are not worth getting upset over.

I take it most people on this board are American?
