anyone primp/planning on primping before L&D lol?

If I have time, I want to shower.  There's just something comforting about taking a shower at home to feel fresh.  Also, showers aren't the same for awhile!  I remember my first few showers after DD felt great but were a ton of effort and DH had to pretty much do everything the first time.  If I can get one more in at home before those hospital showers, I will.

Now, the fun part will be if we really do make it to my scheduled c-section date - we have to be at the hospital at 4:45 am that day!  I won't do much if that's the case.

I was induced with DS. The morning of the induction, I got up, showered & shaved, put on light makeup, did my hair, and made myself feel pretty. I definitely liked feeling somewhat human, and having a little bit of makeup on in the first photos of us.

I'm planning on throwing on a little bit of makeup if I go into labor when I'm not up and dressed

I straightened my hair and put cute earings n and did light makeup. I also told my husband to take a shower so he did not have greasy hair for pictures. Lol

With DS contractions started around 8am and they were like half an hour apart, so I took a long shower, shaved and went t the beauty saloon to get a new haircut and my hair straightened.. I also did some more xmas shopping while I was there since it was at the mall 

I ended up going to the hospital at 9.30pm and DS was born at 4am

I'm glad I got my hair done!

LOVE this! I would love to get a nice blow out before I went in. And throw in a pedicure too. After a good blow out, I'd be set for days! (I have long, thick wavy hair that holds for a long time)

dude if I could know when I was having the baby I would SO get a blowout the day before! OMG that would be awesome. Im awful at hair and they last forever on me. Anyhow. Makeup is a must for me. I don't feel human without it - kind of like contacts are a must - i feel tired and greasy with my glasses on. 

I doubt Ill bother shaving my legs. Blonde and all, who cares. Underarms maybe, quick swipe etc.

I want to look decent in pics and more so, FEEL good which for me includes a little primping. I should add Ill put my makeup on in the car if I don't have time at home. It's a 40m drive so no reason not in between contrax.

I tried to make myself look presentable before I had DD, but after 4 hours of morpheme sleep and 18 hours of labor, I still looked pretty awful.  Not to mention that I was extremely pale and shaking in all the pictures following a postpartum hemorrhage...

I didnt have time to do anything. I threw my hair up in a pony tail and that was it. I went in wearing leggings, a tank top that my boobs were practically falling out of and some boots. I did not care about anything at that point other than an epidural and not having the baby in the car.

I sort of plan on it.  I plan on showering (although probably not shaving my legs-it's just too much of a chore anymore!), washing my hair, probably french braiding it so it looks nice but stays out of my way and will probably put some minimal waterproof makeup on just to feel somewhat human.  

Last time I definitely had time, and I expect this time I will also.
