s/o spit up- clumpy cheese?

Anyone's LO do clumpy cheese spit up? I've noticed this

texture of spit up more in the past couple weeks. Both my

boys had/have reflux and I don't recall seeing it as much

with DS1. I'm thinking I might need to start eliminating things

from my diet since LO seems to be in pain when he's trying

to get it out, even on Prevacid. I probably should start

documenting what I eat and when he does it to see if there's

a correlation.

Thoughts?

  • Does it look like cottage cheese or close? If so it's digested BM. My LO has this from time to time. The doctor didn't seem to bothered by it.

This. DD does it sometimes but doesn't seem bothered by it. She spits up a lot though.
Yup to all of this. This is how it looks after maybe an hour after a feeding.

Yep, looks like cottage cheese, but he DOES seem bothered by it. I think it hurts him getting it up. Once he gets a good chunk up, he typically stops fussing and is happy as a clam.

  • When my LO was ebf I noticed she'd spit up more and if it was about a half hour after she ate it'd be a lil cottagecheese like. I had to cut out cheese, any caffiene, chocolate and avoid processed foods like those lean cuisine dishes. My eating habits were very plain lol She has been on formula for 3 weeks because my milk wasn't enough, she rarely spits up now. I feel bad because what if my milk was causing her reflux pain? Poor kid.
