I read the Baby Led Weaning book and that's about it. I would check out wholesomebabyfood.com occasionally but mostly to check and see if there was anything E shouldn't be eating. Honestly I was really lazy about solids. I just gave her a small portion of what we were eating. Of course I would cut things into sizes she could easily handle. They recommend rectangular pieces rather than cube at first so the baby has something to hold onto as they chew. I don't think she really started eating anything substantial until close to 9mos but by 12mos she was pretty good at three meals a day and was even pretty skilled at the spoon.

Yea I don't remember the book being great but I figured since no one around me knew anything about BLW it was worth a read in case.
