DD has had a cough for a week...I took her into pedi, he checked her lungs and ears and all that jazz, sent us home with nothing more than "use vicks vapor rub" for $20 

DS (3) has had a runny nose for a few days. Today he told me his ear hurts twice. No fever and acting fine. Take him into walk in hours tomorrow morning and wait forever, or push ibuprofen and ride it out until Monday?

If complaining of ears hurting, take him into walk in hours......you don't want the eardrums to burst.  MY LO's did once and it was AWEFUL!  I would rather be safe than sorry.
