My Best Friend vs Boppy

Did you use either or both of these?  I have a boppy that I've used with both of my other kids, but I saw that MBF has a special pillow specifically for twins... do you feel like it was a "must have" or one of those extraneous items that you probably could have done without?  TIA!

We are expecting twin boys late February, and i bought the San Diego Bebe Twin nursing pillow from Double Blessings.com. I compared the boppy pillows & MBF twin pillows and felt the San Diego was slightly better. I havent used it yet, but from trying it on it is really nice and comes with a built in nursing cover. I got the cream colored one w/ chocolate brown nursing cover. Some of the other colors were a little bold for me. Everything ive read from twin moms is to try and nurse them at the same time.. therefore i felt like a pillow like this was a must! Hope that helps. Blessings to you & yours.

My kids aren't the best latchers. MBF is harder. Made of foam so it keeps the girls in the position I want them in to tandem feed. We cannot tandem feed on a boppy. MBF is BIG. not something I use for every feed but for tandem feeds for us it's a lifesaver.

I am not a huge fan of tandem nursing, but I could not have done it without my breast friend, and an extra pillow in top.  I got a second boppy to have one upstairs and one down, and I use them all the time.  i am hanging on to mbf just in case we try tandem nursing when they get a bit older though.  Maybe it gets easier?

^^^This.  I use my boppy most of the time and only use the MBF for tandem feeds.  I thought I would tandem feed all the time and find it is just easier to do them separately unless they are both screaming.  If you are going to get the MBF look for a local twin group.  Mine rents it for $5/mo and then you arent committed to it.

I am a lurker, but I wanted to add my experience. I tandem feed a lot and could not do it without MBF. I would put it at the top of my "must have for twins" list. There is even enough room on it to carefully balance a small plate of food at the top. The bobby is no where near big enough, though it has been great for setting them down/propping them up in a secure place. I highly recommend getting both and using the MBF for nursing. Good luck!

I don't tandem nurse, but I often tandem bottle feed and the MBF works great for that too, FYI! :
