She never compared them to squirrels, she just said that it was a random statement and was trying to make a point by using squirrels as something random. Replace Jews with something else is what she was doing. There was no comparison, just saying that it didn't make sense.

No, I'm really not trying to stir crap up now. And obviously I'm honest enough to admit I have in the past. Whatever her attempt to explain her original statement away, it is highly offensive whether or not you are Jewish. I don't get offended easily (see someone telling me to DIAF), but the narrow mindedness of others when it comes to an ignorant statement like this offends me.

My H thinks the reason we see my folks so much more than his is because my parents have more money. They fly to see us, pay to stay in hotels, and buy us tickets to see them. His folks do none of those things and he's always whining about how little we see his family. He always tries to refuse visits with my folks if isn't their "turn."

We are flying back now from seeing his dad on crazy expensive tickets we bought ourselves that wiped out our travel savings. And yet again, his family has showed me why they never have enough money to visit us: they have a brand new car, a vacation to Mexico coming up in two months, and large expensive presents for H's sisters who are 22 and 24.

I know this has turned into a vent instead of a FFC but stay with me.

They can spend their money however they want, of course. It's theirs and I really don't give a crap if they choose to see LO only once a year. My parents are great grandparents who see DD frequently and buy things that we actually need.

FIL got an iPad for Christmas and told me he can't wait to Skype with the baby but I'll need to set it up because DH won't remember an i have to be in charge of making sure they see their grandbaby.

FFFC: I will never do a thing to set up that phone call. I will spend my limited time energy on scheduling Skype calls with my folks cause I think they deserve it more.

ITA, MoFree and I've never had a bad experience with a gun.  I just don't see the point.  I have uncles who hunt deer, but other than that the only people I know with guns in their homes are cops.  I dnn't know a single person who carries one. 

I see my guns as tools to get the food I feed my family. So they have a point for me. I don't see the point of movie theaters or going to movies but I'm not against them.

The gun thing isn't a black and white issue. I don't believe anybody should be allowed to have one. I strongly support the licensing process we have in Canada. There were a few people I met while living we were living in MA for a while who I am horrified had a gun. Some people need to be weeded out, I just don't like the hate all gun owners get.

Ok but movie theaters don't have the potential to cause harm. People who are in favor of stricter gun legislation have the opinion that they're more likely to do harm than good. I'm not full on anti gun but the way the US handles gun laws is more harmful than helpful IMO.

My FFFC: so I SAH with my 2 and watch another baby too, which is totally fine. I worked in an infant room in child care, so 2 babies is easy. But, today my DH text me and told me the dad of the other baby was leaving work to go home. He didn't come pick her up though. He went home and slept and then picked her up at the end of the day. I was so annoyed! I mean really. I'm tired too. I have a baby too. If you pick up your kid, then you guys can go take a nap, and I can take mine and take a nap. At least he didn't try to hide the fact he went home to sleep instead of work when he picked her up. 

I guess it's more of a vent then a confession. And I totally get it. I'm just jealous I don't ever get to just take a nap with no kids around. But, I'm grateful for the extra $ I can make while home.

Im home alone with Link and drunk! I had to wake him up to take one of my dogs to the emergency vet after 2 of them decided to throw down gauntlet style! I was not drunk then. We finally got home and got him back in bed. I deserve a drink dang it!

Becc you can blow me. I promise that I love my baby WAY more than you can even imagine. You don't couldn't even comprehend the extent of which I love my baby.

Like I said, more of vent and I was just jealous someone got to nap and I wasn't me. Cam hasn't been sleeping more than an hour at a time at night, so I've been a little sleep deprived and my 4 yo was driving me nutty today. Luckily when dh got home I was able to take a nice 20 minute shower with out disruptions and felt much better. He can by all means pay me to watch his kid while he takes a nap. No need to be snarky.

I'm just saying I'm tired of all the hate directed at gun owners from people that don't have the desire for their own. I don't care that some people don't like guns, that's fine but because they don't see the point , it doesn't mean others have no use for them. The movie thing was just me saying that I don't put hate on movie goers (I know perfectly well movie theaters don't cause harm).

I am aware guns are dangerous which is why I am safe with mine and I am in favour of proper training and licencing.  I agree with you that stricter laws in some ways don't solve anything. I only know about the Canadian laws though.
