Both my babies in the PICU

I had my twin boys at 35 and 3 on November 16th. They were in the NICU 9 and 10 days respectively and luckily had no issues, just a cautious NICU. On Christmas I had to take the little one to the ER because he was spelling and lethargic. He was admitted to the PICU to treat his respiratory distress from an unknown virus. He's on a vent and has a central line. Now his brother is being admitted. I feel horrible and helpless!

Oh no! T&P for you and your LOs. My twins both had salomella at 11 mo old. They were both hospitalized and in different cities. It one of the worst times of my life. Hang in there and I hope they are out soon!

I went through this same exact thing with my LO. I had her at 35 and 6. She was in the nicu for 8 days. Took her home adn the week of thanksgiving she was as your peanut was, lethargic and non responsive. She was having seizures because her sodium was low from pneumonia. She had to have teh picc line, blood transfusion and was on a vent. It was the scariest thing to go through for a mommy and daddy! I feel for you and know the pain you feel! Those little stinkers are such fighters! They are stronger than we think they are. And I think it hits us harder than it hits them. She also had to have a spinal tap and was put down for 2 days. She was also intubated. Hang in there mommy! If you need anything, I'm here to talk!
