What do you and DC listen to on your commute?

I used to listen to kids songs on our 30 minute commute, but with the election I've been listening to NPR.  I wonder if she gets the same langauge skills listening to the radio as she does listening to me talk.  I mean, she doesn't know that the people aren't in the front seat, right?

Or do you think it doesn't matter?

I listen to talk radio.  DS seems to like it.

I go back and forth between the music station I like and the kids CD's I keep in the car and sometimes I turn it off and we sing and talk.  We are only in the car for about 5 mins each way though.

It depends on how far we are going and if I want DS to take a nap or not.  Our commute to daycare is 2 minutes, so usually then it is just the radio.  If we are going on longer trips, I bring his naptime/nighttime CD and play that.  It works like a charm!

We listen to the radio and I sing a long a lot (at home too).  Or sometimes I listed to Dave Ramsey CDs, depending on how ambitious I'm feeling!

Baby Disco CD when she's in a bad mood.  Always gets her grooving and in a good mood.  Otherwise, a mellow radio station.  Nothing over-stimulating.

DS likes the baby einstein traveling melodies CD.  It's either that or country music!  I think NPR is a good choice for the reasons you said, but I can't stand talk radio.  :P
