Sudden HATE for a bath?

My 22 month old son has always loved the bath. He runs to the bathroom usually. Starting on Tuesday, he has refused to get in. We have no idea why. Nothing has changed. We tried coaxing, bribing, and even just picked him up and stuck him in the tub. He screamed and was bawling!
I have been wash cloth bathing him this week. What do you moms do?? Any tips??

Well Im not a mom, I am a dad, but my daughter went through this faze. She HATED the bath. I started bathing her in the sink, because its not as deep and she can play with the sprayer, or we took showers. She wasnt as bad with showers, especially if I held her.

DD went through this at about a year old.  One day I made the water a little cooler (way too cool for me) and she was fine.  It's worth a try!  We just recently discovered crayola bath crayons...DD loves them!!  Good luck!

DD has started doing this in the last week too...i just keep talking thru the screaming like everythings normal and then i ask her to help me add bubbles and that usually calms her down...once shes in shes fine for the most part. I work real fast though because sometimes she will suddenly just want to get out and i dont want a tantrum in the tub!

DS hit this phase, too.  Only last about a week.  We didn't push the issue.  He'd get in but we had to wash him standing up.  A couple of times he showered with DH or me.  Then he just got over it.  GL!

My son is going through this too! He's been doing it for about 3 weeks now off and on. I assume he will grow out of it? Like your LO nothing has changed and he used to run to the closet to get his washcloth and towel and wait at the bathroom door until I opened and and would want in the bath asap. Definitely a weird phase that I am looking forward to coming to an end. If you find out any reasons why please post! I'd like to know why this happens Good luck to you!
