swaddle sleep sack sizing

Any mamas out there use the swaddle sleep sacks? My lo transitioned to the crib last week and she moves around so much that she constantly breaks her miracle blanket swaddle. (no rolling yet). I was wondering if any one used the halo (or another brand) swaddle blanket. It looks like the largest size I can find is a small which goes to six months or 18 lbs and lo is already 16 pounds and pretty long.

Thanks in advance for the help! :)

Re: swaddle sleep sack sizing

  • We use the small Halo swaddle sack and it is getting too short for our LO who is 25" long.  We just started keeping his arms out of the swaddle so that we can transition to the larger sleep sacks.  I wouldn't waste your money on buying the small sleep swaddle sack since she will most likely be too long for it soon!  Sorry, I don't have any other tips - I guess you could buy it and cut the bottom like PP.

  • We used the Halo swaddles and then the Halo sleepsacks when we were done swaddling.  The version with the swaddles only goes to size small (3-6m) because it's recommended to stop swaddling when LO is rolling or breaking loose.  When he started breaking loose, we switched to the sleepsacks, which go up to toddler sizes.
