right after Christmas, what would you get? DD's uncle gave her $100 because we are in different countries and it was just easier for him. He specifically said he wants us to buy her something to play with otherwise we might just stick it in her savings.
My first thought was a slide. I am looking at this one by Little Tikes. Anyone have it? I like that it seems longer than the other slides but can it fit indoors?
Any other ideas?
Re: If you had $100 to spend on your todder...
We have a slide and ds LOVES it. It keeps him entertained and when it is raining, snowing or just to cold outside it is an outlet for his energy.
Anither idea: what about a toddler gym or swimming class?
I second the Children's Museum Membership- my mother got one for us for my son's birthday and we go practically every weekend! Best gift ever! Even if you only go for a couple hours some days- it's free entertainment and beats sitting in the house. We also have a zoo membership which we love as well but that is a bit more limiting due to the weather.
We did have $100 from her Grandparents across the country. I went with a Leappad2 explorer.

I'm bumping from my phone, or i'd send a link, but it's little tikes climb and slide. Doesn't take up too much room and it's just the right height!
We got this and it's a huge hit. Even with the 3 year old and it fits in my living room

We have a bunch of gift cards for her---which equals 100 total, but they are from various stores--so we will be spending it in smaller increments.
I am looking into getting her: a) pots and pans set for her play kitchen, b) a starter train track set--circo brand or imaginarium brand and the massive potato head set from kohls.
Right now, I would just put it in savings. He just had his birthday two months ago and then with such a large family, there is literally nothing he needs or could even want.
Well, now that I think about it, we were wanting to get a wooden swing set this summer. Obviously this would be much more than $100 but I could put it towards that.
Step 2 All Star Sports Climber! It's $74.99 right now on Amazon. We bought it for DD for Christmas and she LOVES it! It's small enough to fit in the house, but it's substantial enough in size to be plenty sturdy for her to climb on and enjoy.

Oooh, that's fun! OP I would buy this, or like pp said, a membership to the local children's museum if you have one close. That way you could send him pictures throughout the year of all your trips.
