How are you doing this? Because I think I'm doing it wrong...lol.
When, in the day, are you feeding LO solids? How many times a day?
Are you still feeding as much milk/formula as usual when it's time to feed a solid? Or do you decrease the bottle and make up for it with the solid?
At a solid feeding, how many ounces of milk or formula and how many of food is LO getting?
I do twice a day, once in the am and pm. I give him a 2.5oz bottle instead of the 4 he usually gets and about 1.5oz of food. Then this mag I have says from 4 to 8 months, they should just be getting two tablespoons three times a day. Whoops.

Re: Solids mamas
Its menu plan was regular early morning bottle, smaller bootle with 2 tablespoons of cereal if using I might add, regular bottle, smaller lunch bottle with 2 tablespoons of fruit, regular bottle, smaller dinner bottle with 2tbs veggies, and any motn bottles as necessary.
Thinking back to my daughter, that's about the way I had her scheduled. She still was chugging down about 30 some oz of formula a day which the pedi didn't like. So once 6 months, I intro water to help lessen the weight gain.
HTH
We havent started yet but I plan on doing fruit in the morning and veggies in the evening.
Edit: meant 28 not 25oz

I really wanted to ebf until six months but it almost seems selfish on my part if a little cereal will help his poor tummy.
FWIW the sheet my pedi gave us said to only do one "solids" meal a day, at her "second breakfast" (usually around 9-10 am), but while I'm at work, she doesn't get it. Only BM.
I tried mixing in the rice cereal with breastmilk and it is so soupy... sh.it got everywhere!! Then on Christmas we tried sweet potato for fun and she LOVED it. Think we're going to wait closer to 6 months to do it regularly, though.
Also, weird thing my pedi told me is that some doctors are recommending meats to start off with, vice veggies. Weird.
