No idea yet, depends on what this baby likes. Both of my girls were incredibly picky and ended up with different bottles, so I will buy a single bottle of a few types to see what we find that he'll use. I plan to EBF, so I won't stock up before he arrives regardless.
I know you'll hear frequently not to buy too many brands of one bottle, as the baby may not like it. My experience is there are a lot of extreme women that visit this board. I know some baby's have difficulty from breast to bottle. For most bottle fed babies, IN MY EXPERIENCE, will take the bottle you put in their mouth. I like the bottles I chose, because my baby is pretty gassy. I feel like there aren't too many bubbles. With that said, I hate all the parts to the bottle. Cleaning them by hand drives me crazy sometimes.

I plan on using Avent bottles. [since i'd like to try to pump] I opened the started kit, which is 4 bottles to see if she likes them. The rest are still in the boxes just incase [we purchased bc they were buy one get one half off]
I also have similac bottles for formula.
I didn't stock up like other posts have said incase she doesn't take to them.
this lady i know stocked up on dr. browns & her daughter ended up not liking them so she was stuck with all of them bc she opened & cleaned them. she ended up using playtex.
Playtex Vent Aire
Honestly, my baby will take ANY bottle.

My kids were breast fed, so I have no doubt that was part of the issue since they weren't bottle fed from the beginning. For my older one Dr Browns were the only ones we tried (out of probably 6 different types) that didn't leave her screaming and writhing in pain from gas.
We used Playtex Ventaire wide. DS is BF at home and only uses bottles for daycare. They worked great for going back and forth from bottle to breast but have a bunch of pieces and were a pain to wash. Of course my dishwasher sucks so I have to hand wash them.
I breastfeed but when DS is at day care he uses the Avent. I was lucky and he liked those and we didn't have to experiment too much. I did try the Medela bottles but DS didn't seem to be a fan of those.

We went through a bunch of bottles before finding ones that didn't make my son spit up, including the dr browns. We finally ended up with the ventaire bottles and ended up loving them. They are kind of a PITA with the 4 pieces per bottle, but not really a huge deal- just get a couple of baskets for the dishwasher and its no big deal.

We used this with DS, hoping DD will like them too
