Less than awesome comments

My friend was staying with us this last weekend. We were getting ready to go out to meet old school friends and she asks, "So is your stomach any better?" Which was fine because I've vented to her about my crepe paper, stretch mark belly before. I told her its better, showed her, and added that it's still pretty gnarly though (and will most likely never be the same again). She said that it did in fact look better but then added, "I don't get it, Soandso just had her kid and her stomach looks nothing like THAT." with a small cringe. 

Thanks, jackass. Genetics? Large baby? Various possibilities for why my stomach looks like "THAT". Unless you're going to come up with a solution STFU.

I can always count on her for comments like that.

If she has kids she should know that moms have self conscious issues

She doesn't have kids, so I do give her some slack. Another one of my favorite comments from her happened when C was still on the boob. I was covered, feeding C, he gnawed and hurt me, I said a small "ow". She said, "Ew, that's gross" and then left the room lol I can't wait until she has kids. I hope she has twins.

Yes, and she doesn't realize it either. It's definitely a "I love her BUT..." kind of relationship I have with her.

Does she have kids? If not, hopefully one day she will understand WHY you don't say stuff like that.

For what it's worth, her friend that doesn't have them on her stomach may have them in other areas. I got them on my boobs and butt, not like I'm going to show people those areas though.

I remember being shocked about a friends' on her boobs pre-me having kids.  I am sure it didn't come out eloquently.  Now (unfortunately) I completely understand...my poor boobs.

I didn't know people ask to look at post baby bellies for comparative measure? I have friends whom I have often had to excuse their mouth diarrhea.
