Teething

my little z has been teething and drooling like crazy for a while now how long does it take for them to normaly start to cut their first tooth because the fussyness and crying is getting bad. i use teething stuff but z is still uncomfortable.

Re: Teething

  • It took DS almost 2 months for his first two teeth to poke through from feeling the bump. I am sure it is different for every baby.

  • With DD1 she started getting drooly at 6 months and didn't cut her first tooth until 9 months. DD2 is drooly but no teeth yet.

  • The drool faucet switched on almost 4 months ago here. All we cut for Christmas was our first front teeth! She started symptoms a little after 3 months, they got really bad 2 months ago. Yesterday it was really bad and then inbetween all the screaming Christmas evening I spotted a whitecap! Tylenol, a nuby soft teething ring (like a tooth brush), comfort sucking on the breast and cold, 1/4-1/2 inch rounds of cucumber work for us. Serious about that cucumber, it's the BEST teething "toy" we have. It's cheap, nutritious and she loves it. Leave the skin on and let her gnaw away on the sides.

  • Love the cucumber idea!!! I freeze sticks of celery and that works wonders too!

Our little one has been teething since four months but still not a single tooth in sight :( He just hit nine months.
