NYE Celebrations?

My fiance and I are pretty new to the Phoenix area and I'm about 16 weeks pregnant. We don't really know anyone out here other than people we work with. We're looking for suggestions for something to do on NYE that doesn't involve sitting in a bar. I don't mind going somewhere that he'll be able to have a few drinks, I'd just rather not be bored in a corner for the night. (My birthday is New Year's Day.. and we're pretty used to celebrating the night before)
