Transitioning to big tub. Bath seat or papillion floaty thing

My 8 month old is now too big for is tub. I've tried a couple of times bathing him in the big tub, but he is so squirmy and wants to move around so much that it's difficult to bath him safely. I was researching bath seats but came upon this papillion. https://www.diapers.com/p/pomfitis-papillon-baby-bath-ring-200675 (sorry don't know how to do the link.) Anyway, I'm kind of drawn to this, because it will allow me to tip his head back easier to wash his hair. Does any one use this or have tried this? Is it worth the 40 bucks?

  • Have you tried bathing with your LO? My LO has taken baths in the regular tub since she was born. I just hop in with her. It works great and it is an amazing way to bond for us. We have so much fun playing in the bubbles and it is free so that's also a plus :)

this is what we do, since about 3 months. she loved splashing in the big tub much better.

  • I either get in with her or I fold a bath towel in half and put it on the bottom of the tub. It works well for us.
  • We have one of these:

Don't know if you can find something similar in the US, but I like that it gives DS a little support, otherwise he would slide all over the place.
