LNCI

3am here. LO's never ending cough woke him up, so just getting him back to sleep.

We survived our first Christmas party with DS. Only annoyance was, because we live an hour away from where we were going and had to make several stops, DS was starving and woke up screaming about 10 mins from our destination. As soon as we walked in, we stated he was starving but still people went for him. I basically had to pry him of some lady's arms to feed him. Then she stole him again from MIL and went into another room with him. Um, no. I used diaper change as an excuse to immediately take him back. That was our only "wtf" moment.

LNCI question: what's your favorite ornament and why? I don't have any from my childhood. DH and I have only been married a year and a half so we've only collected 2 as an adult, an 'our first Christmas' with 2 penguins and our wedding date and 'baby's first Christmas" ornament. So, those are my favorite so far.

Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

Anniversary

Re: LNCI

  • Why is it when you go to a party, everyone thinks they have free reign over putting their hands on your baby?  My uncle was all in my baby's face tonight, trying to tickle her after I told him repeatedly she was trying to sleep.  She just glared at him.

I don't have any childhood ornaments on my tree either.  My two favorites on my tree are ones I got this year.  Me and the kid(s) go to Hobby Lobby every year to pick out an ornament.  This year, my stepson picked out a frog doing karate.  He doesn't have an affinity for frogs and doesn't know how to do karate, so it was an odd choice, but I love it.  My other favorite is the one I bought for the baby this year.  It's a pink, sparkly, little Converse shoe.  Enough said! <3

  • We had to leave my il's because we couldn't get ds asleep. I don't have a favourite childhood ornament but I really like ds's ornament this year...it's a blue stocking with his name and date on it. Merry Christmas!!! Hope you ladies have an excellent day...hopefully I can get back to bed (it's 4:39)

  • We're up. For the day, apparently. He's been up since 3 am. And hasn't slept more than 45 minutes all night. I got one good night of sleep and now we're right back to crap sleep. I thought we were heading out of this wakeful, but it looks like it's going to stick around some more.

My favorite ornament is my dogs' ornaments. It looks just like them!

  • Just now getting up. Its early morning here, 745. Our Christmas eve party went well except Amir doesn't go to sleep well and/or long with lots of company. I literally had to hold him for him to get some sleep. After that nap, he wasn't trying to goo back to sleep till every one left. I knew he was ridiculously tired but he handled it well considering.
My favorite ones growing up weren't personalized ones but the 12 days of Christmas ornaments. I have nothing from my childhood.

  • DD got up for a minute then fell back to sleep. I could probably move and she'd wake up but since we have another family Christmas dinner at 1, I figured if let her sleep! Her bottle has 2 hours on it before I have to toss.

Since we aren't at our home for Christmas, we don't put up a tree. I only have a few ornaments stored away in a box in the closet. My favorite is my feathery angel wings.
