He can sit supported, but he hates his Bumbo. He straightens his legs and nearly topples over the back. But he can sit unsupported, tripod style, for like 15 seconds. On a good day, he will use his arms to balance himself for longer before he falls over.
Yes....but very wobbly. She's made about 10 seconds. I would never leave her like that though. If I remember correctly, my son mastered sitting up, on his own by about 6 months.

DS was very early at 4.5 months for unsupported (and was pretty sturdy within a couple weeks), but DD isn't close. She's pretty strong though and doesn't slouch while being supported, and she wants to sit, so I'm thinking it'll be around 5.5-6 months.
So mine just did today! For about 30 seconds. I wasn't expecting much. I've been trying to help him do it though because he gets so frustrated laying down and doing tummy time. I know he wants to just sit up and enjoy the world on his own. He was so happy today! I honestly wasn't expecting him to do anything like that until 6months or so.

We haven't tried in a bit so I just tried again with Sophie. She can sit but has to hold herself up with her arms in front. I guess this is the tripod position? I can't believe how quickly babies grow.

Whose babies are already sitting up?
Rhett isn't yet. I try and sit him up and he locks his legs and pushes himself over. Stinker!
