What's everyone doing today?

Today I am sitting here drinking my coffee and eating a bowl of cut pineapple. I have already been b!tched at by DH for allowing the cats to eat ribbon and putting a load of laundry in without tell him. We will then make a platter full of all the yummy things I made yesterday, get ready, and go to Mema's house for Christmas Eve stuffs. Kill me...

I "worked from home" for a half day, which amounted to me being signed on and checking every once in a while for emails that didn't come because no one else was working  I cleaned out Aiden's playroom of all baby toys and some stuff he doesn't use so there's room for his new gifts.  When he wakes up from his nap we're going to bake cookies for Santa

So happy we did the MIL thing for Thanksgiving... uuggh Plus I have to work on Wednesday, sucks!

Man, I wish the holidays could be peaceful like that. I kind of wished we lived in another state. Cuz I'm pissing off at least one set of extended family today.

I'm working until 4pm then going home to hang our with MH, DD and his parents. We are having enchiladas for dinner (his family tradition). After that, maybe watch a movie? I don't know. Relax with some booze hopefully. 

Cuz apparently I was supposed to read his mind and know he needed his pants cleaned today. I just got up and plopped a load in cuz I only have 2 pairs of pants that fit and they were dirty. Woops!

He should be grateful you are doing laundry at all!! When I was as pregnant as you, I could hardly put on foot in front of the other without being out of breath. You are amazing!

I'm tired and cranky though. I just want this kid out so my pelvis can stop hurting. I miss being able to stay asleep when I roll over.

I am testing the theory that getting up, dressed, and doing my hair will make me feel better.  The cold that will not die is making me feel so tired and sort of like I'm underwater, so that's fun.  However, I am trying to be festive for dd and DH. We have no family near us and no money to travel to them (a mixed blessing), but if I'm out of commission it will be sort of lonely for him.  Once dd is up from her nap, we are probably heading to the park.  Christmas Eve and 70 degrees?  Sliding instead of sledding.

We are going to my husband's aunts in about 20 minutes. I seriously can't wait! I love my DH's family--and Christmas is the best! (Especially from a Jewish point of view). My DH's family is HUGE and Christmas Eve is the big celebration--his aunt and uncle usually have an open house of about 30-40 people. 

Pre-Reese we would stay until about 12/1am. Now we will play it by ear--but most likely leave by 9pm. They live about 5 minutes away.

 

Christmas Day is low key with just immediate family.

Last last last minute Christmas shopping (DON'T YOU JUDGE) then... nothing really. Going to just eat my Jenny Craig food and take care of the LO today. Maybe make some food for the baby monster. we'll see.

I really am putting this on my list today. Though I want to second guess it all the time. I'm so miserable and I'm stuck in super nesting mode. Luckily the 28th is the full moon! Maybe we will both have full moon babies?

Went to my stepmom's to drop off presents for my niece and nephew and pick up presents from her to the boys (a bunch of people over there are sick, so we couldn't stay), J is working until 7 (boo) then we will probably do a present or two each tonight and maybe watch a Christmas movie.

This year kinda sucks, J is working tomorrow morning too, but only for a couple of hours. Every year we used to go to my grandparents' house for Christmas Eve to do presents and dinner with my giant family, but now we are too far away and I feel really lonely This is only the 3rd time in my whole life that I haven't been there. Womp womp /sad.

Woke up this morning and realized that we forgot to buy a gift for our 10 month old nephew. Now I'm frantically searching pinterest for DIY baby gifts. I do not want to try to go through the stores today. I have yarn and a felt blanket from IKEA that I am not against cutting up to make something. 

I'm also on my second cup of coffee. C and DH are both napping in our bed right now.

On our way to yet another in law get together, number two of three to be exact. Which will be awesome because GMIL will question my parenting the whole time and I'll be in a cell dead zone. I'm cranky and I miss my mom.
