DS has a horrible case of cradle cap. We have tried baby oil and olive oil and a special mit and brush but it is still bad. He is constantly scratching and breaking skin on his scalp. Any suggestions of things that have worked?
My pedi said it shouldn't really bother baby but if yours is itching it maybe you need a prescription.
C had/has bad cradle cap and I just give him a bath every other day and gently scrub his scalp with Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo per my pedi's advice. It works but you have to be consistent if I miss a bath it starts to get bad again. I would bathe him every day if it wasn't winter
I've heard that massaging it with olive oil or coconut oil and then using a washcloth or baby hair brush is helpful. Also, selsen blue is supposed to work to get rid of it.
