How are you giving it to her? With a cup or a medicine dropper? My DD who usually does fine with meds started hating it when she had to have it 8 times a day during a recent illness. I would cradle her in my arms so she was laying back and stick the dropper between her teeth and push it in. If DH was there, he would hold her. Then we would do something she liked when it was done to get her happy again.
What I found works for us now (since she isn't used to sucking bottles anymore) is to fill the syringe and squirt it along the side of her cheek, slowly, and tell her to swallow with each squirt. Like the PP mentioned, the pharmacy can add flavor to it.

Re: Medicine question
This, that would be easier for LO to take.
We've been giving DD meds since she was born and have had many issues with it. At first, we used this and it worked great - https://www.amazon.com/Safety-1st-Bottle-Medicine-Dispenser/dp/B0056S88AK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356353229&sr=8-1&keywords=medicine+baby+bottle
