I'm just curios how much weight people gain each trimester ... I was very, very sick my first trimester, and went backwards (lost about 15 pounds), at my 20 week mark I was my pre-pregnancy weight, now at 25 weeks, I've gained 10 pounds.
How much weight have you gained each trimester??
I know every pregnancy is different, but what should I expect??
Re: Weight Gain?
As of now, 24 weeks, I am up 13lbs.
I'm also expecting twins and my dr. Recommended that I gain between 3040lbs.
By 16 weeks I had not gained or lost any weight.
At 20 weeks I had gained 5lbs.
At 24 weeks I was up to a total weight gain of 15lbs.
Now at almost 26 weeks I'm down to a total weight gain of 13lbs.
I was active until about 20 weeks when I went on bedrest so I think some of the weight has stuck around due to not being active anymore.
My doctor is not at all concerned with the gain amount because at almost 26 weeks each baby is weighing almost 2lbs.
Dr. Thinks I'll make it to 34 weeks which will put me at an est. date of delivery to be feb 20. I find it hard to believe that I could possibly gain almost 30 more lbs in 8 weeks but I guess anything is possible!
total weight gain of 5 lbs - never lost any.
I'd say three lbs in the first tri and two lbs so far in second tri

Hey, pretty girl, it feels so right,
All wrapped up in my arms so tight
Hey, pretty girl, it feels so right
Life's a long and winding ride
Better have the right one by your side
And happiness don't drag its feet
Time moves faster than you think

I started out 7 pounds less this time around than I did when I got pregnant with DD1, and have definitely gained that back plus some more.
Every 4 weeks at my doctor's appt, I've consistently gained 6lbs each time. Except of course, for my most recent appt. I managed to gain 10lbs in 4 1/2 weeks. My doctor was less than pleased and told me to try to not gain any weight until my next appt. Which, in case you forgot, is nearly impossible during Christmas/holiday season haha. I'm trying not to overeat on the sweets but it's hard!
So, long story short, I've gained a total of 24 pounds as of 24 weeks.
I definitely try to make healthy eating decisions and gained 30 lbs with both DSs, I'm really struggling with weight gain this time around. I think it's because I'm carrying completely differently.
I seem to jump up on the scale instead of gaining gradually. I gained almost 40lbs with my DD but I can't remember the progression of weight gain.
This time around, in the 1st tri I gained between 2-4 lbs. Now, at almost 23w I'm up only a total of 10lbs. I'm really trying hard not to be a whale like I was with DD.
I have gained 25 pounds! they doctor makes me feel like its alot but i feel its all it my stomach and boobs. if i wanted i could still put on my old jeans and just not button them up.
Like you said, every pregnancy is different so what one woman (or 50 women) experience it is not going to tell you what to expect. Your doctor should tell you what they recommend you gain during your pregnancy and you may come in above or below that. Most doctors also give out a book that has all kinds of info in it, including recommended weight gain depending on your BMI, and most of the pregnancy websites and newsletters that send you weekly updates often mention what the "average" weight gain is at certain points in pregnancy.
