Baby Gap sizes?

I'm a FTM, I like the baby gap clothes and plan on ordering most of the baby's clothes from there.  I hear that baby gap tends to run big.  I was planning on ordering most of the clothes in 0-3 size, does this size fit an "average" sized newborn?  Or do you recommend I also get some "under 7lb." Baby Gap clothes?

What's your experience with Baby Gap?

don't order a ton of 0-3 in any brand....maybe a few just to get you through. 

you're LO will likely grow out of it quickly.

i'd wait and order more in bigger sizes like 3-6 or even 6-9 so they will enjoy it more. the first couple months they should just be comfy anyway - thye don't need jeans and outfits

carters has GREAT sleepers - and probably half the price than GAP

My daughter was 7 pounds 12 oz at birth and was swimming in the gap newborn clothes, she's now almost 12 pound and she can still fit in a couple thing though probably not for much longer

I had/have a big baby and he is still fitting into some of his newborn baby gap stuff at 2 months. He's almost 11 pounds.

I found the pants are really long and the onesies are big too. He's fitting into 03 month in all other brands, Carter's 3 month fits absolutely perfectly.

So yeah Babygap runs a bit bigger. His NB stuff from there says it goes up to 7 pounds but its just now fitting him perfectly.

My daughter is just over 8lbs at 1 month old and still fits in Gap newborn, so I'd say it definitely runs big.
